It is our tradition to eat a good meal at home, go to Christmas Eve service, then come home and decorate cookies, and open new PJ's. This year I had the additional responsibility of taking Jim and Judith to the airport at 3AM Christmas day.
We had stuffed tenderloin for dinner. This was Katies undoing. We left for church, and when we returned, Katie had neatly taken out _only_ the meat wrapper, and some parchment used in the meat preparation...shredded! She was so embarased when we came home. But, we cleaned it up, and went on with the festivities.
Katie waited patiently while we decorated our cookies. Once that was done, we opened the pJ's and went to bed. T and I wrapped presents, and I got ready. I needed to take Jim and Judith the airport to leave for PR at 3AM.
So I got up at 3AM, and got ready went down stairs. Took down the gate, and went to the living room. J & J showed up about 320AM, and I left. When I arrived home, on the floor of the living room was one lone gift separated from all the rest. It just happened to be the Vegemite Alissa got for Andrew for Christmas. This was the ONLY gift from under the tree molested in any fashion. I put that back together, and went in to the kitchen. The wrappers were back on the floor, as if there was anything left for her to collect. But I remind you _only_ the meat wrappers. I laughed while K was embarrassed on her bed. It was a Christmas event, one of many memories we have this year. To you and many, a nasty time. To us, part of living with a special house guest.
Tomorrow....Christmas!
